We love celebrating Easter every year together as a family. The kids look forward to it for weeks and I get just as excited as they do! Here are some fun tips that we love to do as a family; hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
.) Making an Easter basket is one of my favorite things to do during the season. You can use fresh flowers and greens to give baskets a natural look. I try and focus on a theme my kids love to make them original. My two-year-old son Lyric is obsessed with trains, so I will probably plan a train-themed basket this year. Top your baskets with Lindt GOLD BUNNY for a playful presentation that not only looks beautiful, but also tastes delicious!
.) Crafting is a huge part of my family’s life, and Easter is the perfect time to get artistic with the kids. Look for ways to reuse and recycle, such as painting egg cartons – just bring out the paints and let their imaginations run wild! You can also reuse your egg cartons to make mini gardens for family and friends by easily adding soil, flowers and herbs.
.) Dying eggs bring back some of my favorite childhood memories. We could die eggs for days and are always coming up with innovative ways to make them different. We do everything from dying them to drawing on them and adding stickers. We come up with fun patterns that make them unique. Encouraging creativity is the best part for us!
.) A classic Easter egg hunt is always memorable, no matter how big or small the space is. Remember, be as creative as possible! Mix up your eggs with different surprises, such as filling hollow eggs with sweet love notes to your kids or fun holiday stickers, and hide them along with LINDOR Milk Eggs that kids can fill their baskets with.
.) We love cooking in our household, and baking as well. One of our favorite things to make is chocolate covered strawberries. We like to dip them in sprinkles to make them more festive. They are delicious and we often find ourselves dipping other yummy fruit like grapes as well. You can use your melted down Lindt chocolate as a delicious dipping sauce – we have so much fun doing this together as a family.
.) Easter is a great time of year to teach your kids about giving back. Something I love to do with the kids is to go through their old toys and put together packages for those in need. Kids are never too young to learn about the power of giving.
