Hans Mazenauer is a retired Swiss Maître Chocolatier who finished his long career working with Lindt & Sprüngli USA. Part of his duties included educating the company’s retail staff members about chocolate. In his 50-year career he witnessed the transition from hand-making pralines and chocolate to using machinery that revolutionized the business, and he feels fortunate to have been a part of ensuring that the quality always remained. One of his proudest achievements was being named in Who’s Who of Professionals for the year 2000. Having traveled the globe extensively, Hans now calls Florida home. Hans’s advice to would-be Maître Chocolatiers: have a passion for chocolate and an interest to learn all aspects of the job, from the fresh bean to the finished product.
