Candied Cranberries

A decorative and delicious treat.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) water
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) whole cranberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) coarse decorating sugar

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water and simmer until the sugar has completely dissolved. Let cool for 10 minutes. Pour over cranberries in small bowl.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 12 hours.
  • Drain and toss with coarse decorating sugar until coated.
